This week in Seventh Grade Math…
**This week all students should have 16 objectives mastered in Accelerated Math. Next week is our last Accelerated class for the 3rd trimester. Please encourage your child to be working on it outside of class if he/she is behind or looking for extra credit.

All groups: This week we will continue working in our percents chapter with solving basic percent problems and solving percent word problems.

This week in Eighth Grade Math…
**This week all students should have 20 objectives mastered in Accelerated Math. Next week is our last Accelerated class for the 3rd trimester. Please encourage your child to be working on it outside of class if he/she is behind or looking for extra credit.

Red: This week we will continue working on polynomials. We will be adding, subtracting, and, if time allows, multiplying polynomials.

Blue: This week we will review adding and subtracting polynomials and begin multiplying polynomials.

White: This week we will begin factoring and multiplying polynomials.

MAY FEVER

**I am worrying that, as we are quickly approaching the end of the school year, some students are developing “May Fever.” Please make sure that your child is staying focused on his/her homework, classwork, and test prepartion. We still have a month of school left!! I would hate to see the students’ grades drop this last trimester.

This week in Seventh Grade Math…
**This week all students should have 14 objectives mastered in Accelerated Math. Please encourage your child to work on this outside of class if he/she is behind or looking for extra credit.

All groups: Tuesday we will be taking our test on Ratios. Wednesday we will begin the next chapter, which is on percents.

This week in Eighth Grade Math…
**This week all students should have 18 objectives mastered in Accelerated Math. Please encourage your child to work on this outside of class if he/she is behind or looking for extra credit.

Red: Tuesday we will be reviewing for our Chapter 4 Test, which is on Wednesday. Thursday we will begin polynomials.

Blue: This week we will begin our new chapter on polynomials.

White: Tuesday we are taking on test on Chapter 6. Wednesday we will begin polynomials.

This week in Seventh Grade Math…
**Due to a schedule conflict, 7th graders will not have Accelerated Math this week in class. Monday afternoon the Junior High has practice for the Spring choral concert. Students should still have 12 objectives mastered. Please encourage your child to work on it outside of class if he/she is behind or looking for extra credit.

All groups: This week we will be finishing up our Ratios Chapter with probability. Our chapter test will be next Tuesday.

This week in 8th Grade Math…

Red: This week we will finish up Chapter 4 with linear inequalities. Our Chapter 4 Test is tentatively scheduled for next Wednesday.

All groups: This week we will continue working in Ch. 6 on ratios. We will review last week’s material and also begin proportions and solving problems using unit rates.

Blue: Wednesday we will have a quiz on the second half of Chapter 3. Students should have the information in their binders. We will also finish Chapter 3 this week with solving linear inequalities.

White: This week we will continue working in Chapter 6 on standard form and point-slope form of equations.

**This week all students should have 10 objectives mastered in Accelerated Math. Progress reports go home next week, and students will need 12 objectives at that time. Please encourage your child to work on it outside of class if he/she is behind or looking for extra credit.

All groups: This week we will starting working in Chapter 6 on ratios and rates.

This week in Seventh Grade Math…
**This week all students should have 6 objectives mastered in Accelerated Math. Please encourage your child to work on it outside of school if he/she is behind.

All groups: This week we are finishing up our Geometry Chapter with area and circumference of circles. Our Geometry Test is going to be next Tuesday, April 3. There is A LOT of material on this test. I have advised the students to begin studying this week.

Blue & Red: Tuesday we will be reviewing for our Chapter 3 Test, which is on Wednesday. Thursday we will begin Ch. 4.

**Due to Terra Nova testing, the 7th grade will not be having math this week. We will continue next week with Geometry.

This week in Eighth Grade Math…
**This week we officially started Trimester 3! One more trimester until high school! This week all students should have 2 objectives mastered in Accelerated Math.

Red & Blue: This week we will finish up Chapter 3 with Solving Inqualities. Our Chapter 3 Test will be next Tuesday, 3/13.

White: This week we are finishing up Chapter 3 with solving absolute value equations and inequalities. Our Chapter 3 test will be on Tuesday, 3/13.
