The (very short) Week of October 13th

This week in Seventh Grade Math…
**Due to Monday’s holiday, we will not have Accelerated Math this week. Last week students were to have 10 objectives mastered thus far. Please encourage your child to work at home if they are behind. ONLY FOUR ACCELERATED MATH DAYS LEFT!!

Red and White: This week we will begin our fractions chapter. We will be working on: divisibility, prime factorization, GCF, and LCM. If time allows, we will begin equivalent fractions and lowest terms.

Blue: This week we will continue our fractions chapter with: GCF, LCM, equivalent fractions and lowest terms. If time allows, we will begin converting between fractions and decimals. We will possibly have a quiz at the end of next week.

This week in Eighth Grade Math…

Blue: Tuesday we will be reviewing for our percents quiz that is on Wednesday. The remainder of the week will be spent on percent increase.

White: This week we will be finishing Chapter 6. We will be working on: percent decrease, applications of percent change, and simple interest. Our chapter 6 test will be next Thursday, October 22.
